One more quick birthday post before we dive headlong into wedding season...
Emilia Grace is our littlest Lilac and Lily member, and she turned one in March! It's so fun to dig out all of our props and to throw a fun bash to celebrate one of our own.
The gorgeous sugar cookies were made by the amazingly talented Aime Pope of The Painted Pastry. Not only are the cookies unbelievably beautiful (almost too beautiful to eat!), but they are delicious as well! Make sure to follow Aime's work on Facebook...you will be WOWED! I seriously can't wait until the next occasion to order cookies!
Then we move on to the fabulous gourmet cakes created by Kim's Pure Pastry, another amazing local business specializing in beautiful delicacies that are completely organic, locally-sourced, and home grown. I am a huge fan of "naked cakes," and we chose her carrot cake, tangerine paradise cake, and a special mini vanilla cake for Emmy! As I opened the cake boxes right before the party, the smell of tangerine, vanilla, and spices completely filled the room. Is your mouth watering yet? Check out the pineapple flower garnish on top of the carrot cake...so exquisite!
Here is Leo our bulldog catching a quick snooze before all of the excitement!
Anyway, thought it would be fun to share this with all of you! Birthdays are such special markers of time as we go through the years. I'll leave you with a shot of the birthday girl...one day old to one year old!
